Fine men's bespoke and made to measure tailoring

Presidential debate

Nov 22 2012

After watching the Obama/Romney TV debates last month, I thought that I would love to debate made to measure and bespoke tailoring with the new breed of internet tailors. We would discuss the merits of their claims about specially created patterns, hand cut, handmade tailoring and what that entails for customers.

In turn I would explain how our technically advanced methods are more accurate and produce higher quality made to measure garments. Why the term bespoke is misleading. Why more modern methods mean consistency and not cheapness. Why the genuine Savile Row tailor is being misunderstood.

I doubt very much if such a debate will happen as there are very few people in the retail tailoring industry who understand both traditional and modern methods of garment construction.
