Fine men's bespoke and made to measure tailoring

Perception of quality versus price

Jun 09 2011

Purchasing a made to measure suit is a matter of trust between you and the tailor. Selecting a fabric above the basic starting price is literally buying into a blind article.
You can of course compare the prices with other tailors if you choose branded merchants cloth such as Holland & Sherry or Dormeuil etc.

However the fabric is only part of the garment, the major bit is the actual construction and the practical knowledge of the tailor explaining the detailed style and fit options.

There are tailors in Savile Row and London’s West End who charge from £1300 upwards for the same 2 piece suit that we can offer for ½ the price. This is not a concern for me as we don’t have West End overheads. However it does demonstrate that the quality of the products we offer are of a standard that can command a higher selling price.
