| Q16 | What is the difference between bespoke and made to measure? | |
Many tailors claim their garments are 'bespoke' but in reality they are made to measure. True bespoke is a 'Savile Row' suit that is completely hand tailored with multiple fittings costing over £3000. Anything less than that is in reality made to measure, this is despite a recent high court ruling on the interpretation of the word 'bespoke'. It doesn’t really matter whether you wish to use the term 'bespoke or 'made to measure', with our technically advanced system you will receive high quality garments that will fit you whatever your shape or size. |
||
| Top | ||
| Q17 | Why are you such an advocate of modern engineered garments when other tailors offer hand tailoring? | |
As former UK clothing manufacturers we know that modern machinery together with garment technology produces a consistent quantifiable quality every time. The same cannot be said for 'hand tailored' garments that are offered at similar prices. |
||
| Top | ||
| Q18 | I have heard about bespoke tailoring, but what is semi-bespoke? | |
As far as the wearer is concerned, semi-bespoke is, in reality, made-to-measure. A semi-bespoke garment is more to do with the method of construction. Our garments would be classed as semi-bespoke. We can give a more detailed explanation on request. |
