At the forefront of technology for over 30 years
In 1978 it took about 10 days for trousers to go through the production cycle. The implementation of the hanging rail system reduced this to 3 days!
In today's factories modern handling systems are the norm but we were amongst the first in the UK to install this system. At the time the press described Alexander Rose Ltd as the future of the British clothing industry.
The results achieved by Erickson Associates in 1979 enabled us to produce jackets and trousers that were then technically far superior to what many of our competitors still produce today. Our garments are now made in Europe, but together with our trading partners we are still at the forefront of clothing technology.

Master Tailor Select
I thought of the Master Tailor Select idea whilst sat in a client’s reception reading their wine club brochure. The idea was that if it can work for wine, why not suits? My client thought it was a brilliant idea and was the first person to sign up. When he took delivery of his second suit and shirts he said it felt really good receiving new clothes without anything extra to pay.

Wearing a three-piece suit was always going
to be a risky move in weather like this. But
I couldn't resist it when when I spoke at the
Connecting with China conference in Bristol
last week. After all, it was a very special
suit.
I wrote a case study earlier in the year on
a Leeds-based tailor called Harold Rose and
the challenges facing his company - MasterTailor.
I was so impressed by what I learned that I
decided to invest in a bespoke suit for myself.
